Engagement Officer

As the Engagement Officer you will play a pivotal role on the AFON committee, planning and delivering engagement events on behalf of AFON. At AFON we are committed to reaching young people across the country through our digital marketing, mentoring scheme, regional rep programme and events. As Engagement Officer you will work with the Committee to develop ideas for future events and work towards the organisation and delivery of these events. Currently (due to the pandemic) these will be digital, however we hope that we will be able to deliver face to face events again soon. As Engagement Officer you will also be responsible for editing the AFON website.

Job Description

Mentoring Officer

Deadline: 21st February 2021

As Mentoring Officer you will play a key role on the committee, co-ordinating the AFON mentoring scheme and liaising directly with mentors and mentees. You will oversee mentee applications, connect mentees with mentors and support these mentoring partnerships. You will be responsible for the whole mentoring scheme database and all documentation. You will help to continue the development and improvement of the scheme, working with the other committee members as necessary.

Our regional rep scheme is designed to create a sustainable network of young conservationists across the UK.
